Position Summary: 

Perform accurate and thorough visual inspections and functional testing on all types of machinery and equipment.

 

Key Roles / Responsibilities:

  • Verify equipment descriptions
  • Gather and verify equipment inventory information
  • Identify and record equipment components, accessories and asset details.
  • Ensure the quality of equipment data and other related information.
  • Verify requirements for warranty applicable items.
  • Compose and take photos and videos of the equipment.
  • Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate with the collections team to recover assets in default scenarios.
  • Manage the resale or redeployment of repossessed equipment to maximize value and mitigate loss.
  • Develop and maintain residual value metrics with various vendors across industry sectors and asset classes.
  • Conduct foreclosure sales.
  • 100% travel

Required Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Mechanic experience preferred.
  • Experience using computers, and able to learn to use new technology and software.
  • Maintain a valid, clean driver’s license.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks.
  • Prior experience in equipment management (inspections, inventory and appraisals) and/or inventory control management, preferably in the auction or heavy equipment business.
  • Knowledge of industrial and/or agricultural equipment, trucks and trailers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Solid interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • A commitment to providing fantastic customer service by being friendly and patient.
  • Able to work well and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
  • Overnight travel could be up to 60% at times.
  • Sensitive to confidential information.
  • Must work independently and as a member of team.

  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers
